How do affiliate programs work?

Affiliates providers are online platforms, who gives website and shop operators a chance to incorporate and profit by each other. Are, for example, articles by Amazon placed on a private homepage and there being sold, the operator of this particular homepage earns a sales commission. These commissions can be more than 30%!

A so-called "advertiser", such as "Zalando" and "Otto", is a provider of goods, who wants to increase the spreading of its article assortment in the internet. To be successful he can put his assortment of articles into the affiliate system and makes it available to all publishers for free.

A "publisher" (a website operator), on the other hand, can participate to affiliate programs for free and apply for their available partnerprograms, like "Otto" or "Zalando". After checking the publisher, the advertiser activates the partnership.. Both can benefit from this partnership. The advertiser spreads his assortment of articles and the publisher earns money by the sales commission. The commissions can vary by provider. 3D City synchronizes the assortment of articles and makes all data available to you. Finally, you only have to place now the wanted articles into your 3D shop.

How do the I get the articles of an affiliate partner into my 3D online store?

In your 3D City World Login section you will find a summary of all your active affiliate programs, after you have applied for them at the particular affiliate platform (Affilinet, Zanox, Amazon Partner Network) and the advertiser has approved the partnership. Here you enter the patner-ID of the program (for example "Zalando") into the provided space. We do the rest.

What happens when somebody buys an article of my affiliate partner?

A customer buys an article in your 3D shop by clicking the button "buy now". At that moment 3D City World forwards the customer to the store or website of the affiliate partner (for example "Zalando"). The affiliate system registers this transaction. If the customer finally buys the item, you will receive a sales commission. All commissions and statistics can be viewed by you in the particular affiliate program. The payment for the sales commissions also takes place in the affiliate system.

How many articles can I place in my 3D shop?

That depends on you. 3D City offers different 3D shop moduls. They differ in the amount of articles, in the size of the 3D store (square metre) and in the adaptability of the 3D shop (shop design).
