Dynamic 3D browser games/ 3D games

Online games are very popular. On the social networking sites such as Facebook or StudiVZ alone, more than 50 million online users per day worldwide enjoy gaming!

3D City has developed a 3D browser game concept which allows to dynamically integrate advertising (text, images, audio, video as well as external links) into the respective 3D game before and after playing. The advertising elements can be integrated either as actual 3D objects, projected onto 3D objects as images, or inserted as cutscenes (level switches). The Data exchange between the advertisement and the 3D game takes place via a specially developed interface by 3D City (3D-API). The advertising elements are managed and assigned via a database-controlled web interface. Bonus points, highscore lists, prize calculations and music can be designed individually for each game.

One true highlight is the 3D level editor, which allows the user to individually design and structure the different levels.  Furthermore, it is possible to link the system to existing ad-server systems including intelligent tracking technology. 3D browser games can be integrated into other websites without problems.

Conclusion: This is a great chance for the advertising industry to communicate marketing messages to online customers in a playful way.

3D-Racing DTA (Don't Turn Around) is a free, browser-based 3D racing game – a class of its own. Do not turn around! Try to reach the finish line at full speed! Tear through the landscape on an excavator, in a 1971 Dodge Challenger, a Lamborghini or a 1970 Ford – 3D-Racing provides the ultimate driving pleasure. Among the strengths of this browser game are the superb 3D look, the cool light effects of a metropolis and, of course, the adequate noise from the motor.

The 3D racing game is still in its beta phase, which is why we can expect many more things from the 3D City developers. For instance, there will be even more cool cars and different race tracks to choose from.

3D-Racing DTA was developed so it can also be used on the social networking sites Facebook and studiVZ/ schülerVZ/ meinVZ, i. e. before long the 3D racing game will also be available on these platforms.

3D-Game: 3D Push The Box - Beta

3D-Browsergame-Push-The-Box-Screen-1.jpg

The goal of the 3D online game 3D Push The Box (also known as Sokoban) is plain and simple: Every single box needs to be pushed to a place marked red. This is the only way to get to the next level. But be careful when pushing the boxes around! Once you have finally managed to push a box to its proper place, take care not to move it again by pushing the next box. 3D Push The Box – a game for the whole family – is a tricky browser game and requires some perseverance.

The 3D game Push The Box was developed dynamically so it will soon be offered on Facebook and in the VZ networks.

In the beta version, the integration of advertising into the free 3D online game is possible in the level switches as well as on the movable boxes. The start screen and the music of Push The Box can also be swapped dynamically. Even posters or display stands can be integrated dynamically into the gaming scenes.

Level Editor - Beta

The 3D Level Editor is a tool for the easy online design of complete level looks and scenarios. The results are stored in the Level Editor database, so that the level can be re-used at any time. This allows for an endless variety of game levels in the Push The Box browser game. And the best thing is: It is a lot of fun!

In its beta version, advertising can be integrated in the level switches as well as on the robots. The start screen and the music of Robowars-X can also be swapped dynamically. Furthermore, posters or display stands can be integrated dynamically.

Product placement that is fun

Compared to conventional online ads, advertising elements in 3D games are not nearly as irritating for the user. Quite the opposite, advertising can even be used as a design or gaming element in the scenarios. In 3D Push The Box for example, the gamer could move Coca-Cola boxes around. Product placement that is truly fun! Thanks to this technology, even prize competitions can be dynamically generated, controlled and analysed “on the fly”.

Furthermore, an intelligent tracking system allows the 100% evaluation of the advertising elements placed in the game. An invisible 3D scanner is used to measure viewing distances, viewing angles as well as viewing times between the user and the advertisement. The parameters required for this can be adapted dynamically in the web-based backend.

Online Communities

Gamer communities can be generated and managed easily and flexibly with the help of the 3D City Level Editor and the 3D City Game Backend. Gamers can save their own self-designed levels and share them among each other. The games or 3D levels designed by the users can even be integrated into the own website or Facebook.

The advertisement is always delivered in all games and on all websites in accordance with the criteria determined in the backend. This means that the advertising affiliates benefit from the complete online community.
